Assay guided individualized cancer therapy

FUTURE CANCER DIAGNOSTICS

Are there anything we could do better?

Cancer today is a disease which can be cured more efficiently in our decade. Countless new therapies have been implemented with high success rate. New diagnostic methods have been developed and targeted cancer cures were required from the oncologists. Healthcare  focusing more and more to develop personalized treatments in our days.

We have many different tools to be able to design an effective therapy where high technology is used. Among others molecular markers became one of the new diagnostic tools to assist assay guided therapies for targeted drugs. Unfortunately they are unable to solve all the questions and limited for therapies where the disorder is based on a known genetic alteration. In other malignancies oncologists are lacking the right tool to design a personalized cancer care for their patients.

It is likely that we can still improve the survival rate with a more personalized healthcare, where different technologies and therapies should be implemented more frequently.

There are many obstacles at the moment, one of them are the off-label applications of a medicine. According to the regulations off-label use is not allowed even though some scientific data supports positive impact.

QantaScope constantly developing new technologies to overcome many of the obstacles in cancer care. We believe that individualized cancer therapy should be more widely used in the future and QantaScopes’ new diagnostic tools are aiming to help oncologists in their daily work.
